How to Manifest What You Want by Feeling It First

Why aligning with the feeling of your dream coming true can change everything—no matter what you believe about manifesting.

There’s something powerful that happens when you stop focusing on what you don’t have—and start aligning with how it will feel when your dream does come true.

Whether you’re calling in more love, financial freedom, a fulfilling career, better health, or simply more peace and joy, there’s one practice I return to over and over again. It’s completely free, backed by both energy and neuroscience, and the best part? It will help you feel better today, not just when your goal finally shows up.

I’ve used this approach to manifest everything from a businesses to homes to love. And I’ve watched it work not just for myself, but for so many women I’ve worked with and connected with.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re doing all the “right things” but nothing’s quite clicking—or if you just want to approach your goals from a more empowered, joy-filled place—this might be the shift you’ve been looking for.

Let’s talk about how to manifest what you want by starting with one simple but game-changing question:
How would you feel if your dream had already come true?

The Science (and Strategy) Behind It

If the word “manifesting” feels a little out there for you, stay with me. Because there’s a very practical side to this too. Practically speaking, every thought you think creates a chemical response in your body. That chemical response becomes a feeling. That feeling influences the actions you take—or don’t take. And those actions are what ultimately create your results.

Let’s say you want to call in more love. But the thoughts running in your mind are, “Dating is exhausting,” “It’s not worth it,” or “There aren’t any good people out there.” What feelings are those thoughts generating? Probably frustration, discouragement, maybe even bitterness. From that emotional state, you’re probably less likely to go out, open yourself up, or say yes to opportunities. So the results match the original thoughts.

But what if your thoughts were, “My person is on the way to me,” “I trust love,” or “Every interaction brings me closer”? Now your feelings shift to hope, excitement, expectancy. And from that place, you do things differently—you show up differently. You are different.

This works across the board. Career, finances, health—you name it. And what’s beautiful is that even if you don’t know what someone else in that situation might think, you can still access the feeling. You can imagine what it would feel like to receive the raise, get the clean bill of health, or have $1,000 land in your lap (or bank account!). And when you start feeling those feelings now, your brain starts to follow, offering you more thoughts in alignment with that emotion. It’s like sneaking in the back door to shift your mindset and energy in a sustainable, powerful way.

Three Simple Ways to Practice This

So how do you actually do this? These are my favorite free ways to start manifesting from that feeling state—things I’ve done personally in my own life for business, love, finances, and health.

1. Write a Letter Like It Just Happened

This is such a fun one. Imagine your dream just came true—and write a letter or an email to your best friend, your journal, or even your future self that starts with something like: “You will never believe what just happened…” Then let your words flow. Describe the dream as if it already unfolded. Share how grateful you are. What it feels like. What you’re celebrating. Who helped you. How your life will never be the same. Let yourself fully experience the joy and emotion as if it’s happening right now.

2. Record It as a Voice Memo

Once you’ve written your letter, you can record yourself reading it out loud. There’s something powerful about hearing your own voice say those words. You can listen to it as you get ready for the day, go for a walk, or drive to work. It’s a simple two-minute habit that keeps you aligned with the energy of your dream coming true—and helps your nervous system begin to normalize that new identity.

3. Create a Visual Cue

If you’re a visual person like me, you’ll love this. You can use Canva or Pinterest or your phone’s wallpaper to create a visual representation of your dream. (I even recorded you a video on how to do it here.) You can find a photo of your dream vacation, your ideal home, your dream job, a healthy scan, a check written to yourself—whatever represents your goal. Put it where you’ll see it daily. Let it remind you of what you’re calling in—not with impatience, but with excitement. Not as a distant wish, but as something that’s on its way to you.

One tip here: Try to look at these images or notes from a place of trust, not longing. You’re not thinking, “Why isn’t it here yet?” but rather, “How exciting—it’s coming, and I get to enjoy the journey until it arrives.”

Manifesting Is About Feeling, Not Forcing

When I was manifesting love, I’d had some heartbreaks in my twenties. I used to commute an hour each way to work, and instead of spending that time ruminating or doubting, I decided to use it to build the feeling of love in my life. I listened to love songs, not with sadness or comparison, but with trust and expectation—like I knew that kind of love was on its way to me. And not long after, I met my now-husband. I honestly believe that shift in energy made the difference.

You can apply that same principle to anything. Rather than focusing on the distance between you and your dream, try building the emotional muscle of closeness. Feel the gratitude, the joy, the freedom, as if it’s already yours. That’s what creates alignment. And alignment brings movement.

The “Worst” Case Scenario Is Still a Win

If you’re still skeptical, here’s the thing: even if you don’t believe any of this works, the “worst” case scenario is that you’ll feel more hopeful and empowered. You’ll think more uplifting thoughts, feel better emotionally, and likely take more intentional action. And all of that alone is enough to begin changing your life.

But if you do believe there’s something to this—and I do—then this can be the moment where everything begins to shift. Where the life you dream of starts to feel closer. Where you start to notice synchronicities, new opportunities, chance encounters. And you realize… maybe you had more power to co-create your life than you thought.

Start Today (It Only Takes 5 Minutes)

So here’s your assignment this week. Pick one of these practices. Write the letter. Record the voice note. Make the visual. Choose the one that feels fun—because that feeling is the point. Let it become part of your routine, not from a place of pressure or proving, but as a simple, joyful way to step into the life you’re creating.

Trust the process. Trust the unfolding. And trust yourself.

💛 If you try this, let me know in the comments—or send me a message. I’d love to hear what you’re manifesting, and celebrate with you when it arrives.
