Try These Small Changes for Big Results
Think Like the Future You
Pick your dream—to write a book, open an art studio, launch podcast, start a business, or anything else—then ask: How does the version of me who already has this think, feel, and spend her day?
Get specific. What’s her morning routine? What thoughts and affirmations does she repeat to herself constantly? What habits does she keep? How does she dress? Spend 15 minutes journaling the details.
Then, choose one micro-action to embody today. For example, maybe you swap a social media scroll for 5–10 minutes learning a new language on DuoLingo, drafting a scrappy outline, or pressing record on your voice memo app.
These tiny reps slowly start to rewire your identity to BECOME the woman with your dream. But over time, they deliver real results that you can’t just FEEL—but actually SEE.
Get in Rooms That Match Your Next Level
If friends or family don’t get your dream, you can still love them, but DO get yourself into rooms where other people support and encourage the life you desire. Join free Facebook groups, RSVP to a local Eventbrite or Meetup events, binge podcasts and YouTube from people building what you want, or hire a mentor to shorten the decision loop.
Let those conversations become your mental soundtrack, so your default thoughts are possibility-focused. One great room can spark ten ideas, three collaborations, and the courage to create your next masterpiece. It can save you years of figuring things out the hard way and feeling alone, when the truth is, there are thousands of people who share your vision and will help you build it.
Design Around Your Energy—Not Against It
Notice when you do your best creative work, then protect that window. For example, write in the morning if you feel sharper then, and save admin activities for when your energy dips.
Or, pair habits you want with habits you already keep effortlessly. For example, listen to audio books while cooking, hop on a treadmill or exercise bike while watching TV, or keep a journal on your bedside table so you write for 5 minutes before falling asleep.
Also, keep an eye on what DRAINS your energy. For example, if you notice that certain apps tank your mood, replace ten minutes of scrolling social media with ten minutes of inspiring content that uplifts you. If you have a hard time remembering to incorporate new habits, put them front and center where you don’t have to keep tabs open in your brain (for example, put supplements by your front door before you head out for the day). Work WITH your rhythms and watch your consistency (and confidence) climb.
