Your Answer is Coming: How to Trust the Timing of Your Life

If you’re in a season where you’re craving clarity—whether in your business, your next big move, a relationship decision, or a total life reset—this message is for you. It’s for the moments when you feel stuck at a crossroads. When you wish you could see around the corner. When you think, “If I just knew the right answer, I’d move forward right now…”

The reminder I want to share with you today is this: Your answer is coming.

In this post, I’ll walk you through three reminders that help me trust the process when I feel lost or unclear on my next move. The truth is, there’s nothing wrong with you for not knowing right now. Sometimes, clarity takes time because life is lining up exactly what you asked for—it’s just hard to see in the chaotic rearranging or messy in-between. Your job isn’t to force the answer—it’s to stay open, stay curious, and trust that the answer will be obvious when it’s meant to be. 💛

Your Answer Is Coming: 3 Things to Remember

1. If You Don’t Know Yet, Maybe the Answer Isn’t Ready

Sometimes we think we’re ready for an answer, but life has other plans. Maybe the timing isn’t right YET because there are still lessons to learn or people to meet before the next step reveals itself.

I’ve experienced this firsthand—especially in big decisions like writing a book, leaving corporate, or moving cities. When the answer WAS right, I didn’t have to force it. It came with a deep inner knowing, even when the decision itself felt scary or inconvenient. If you don’t feel that sense of clarity yet, maybe it’s not that you’re doing something wrong. Maybe it’s just not time.

One of my favorite reminders is a quote often attributed to Oprah: “Doubt means don’t.” If your answer isn’t a full-body yes, it may simply not be your answer, or your time.

2. Ask for Help—Then Trust It Will Be Clear

You don’t have to figure it all out alone. If it feels right to you, ask a power—whether you call that God, the universe, or your inner guidance—for support. Ask to be shown the next step. Ask that if it’s right, it becomes so clear you couldn’t possibly miss it.

Sometimes answers come through signs, synchronicities, conversations, or unexpected opportunities. One of my favorite quotes is: “When the student is ready, the teacher appears.” That could be a book, a coach, a course, or a friend’s offhand comment that suddenly clicks something into place.

3. Even the Wrong Choice Can Lead to the Right Place

One of the biggest things that’s brought me peace is realizing that even when I’ve made what felt like the “wrong” choice, life still worked out.

I once left New York City even though deep down, I wasn’t sure I was ready. It felt logical, but not soul-aligned—yet that decision led me to meet my husband in Seattle and build the beautiful life we share now. At the time, leaving New York City, it felt like maybe I messed up. Looking back, it was one of the most right turns I’ve ever made.

There’s actually a book I love about this topic called Maybe in Another Life by Taylor Jenkins Reid. It explores how different paths might unfold depending on one choice—but in both versions of the story, the main character still ends up feeling grateful, fulfilled, and in love with her life. That’s how I think life works: whatever you choose, it finds a way to serve you.

If you’re in a moment of waiting, pause and trust: your answer is coming.

And when it does, it will come with peace. It will come with clarity. You won’t have to chase it—you’ll feel it.

In the meantime, live your life fully. Learn the lessons. Enjoy the journey. The very things that feel like detours right now might be the bridges to everything you’re asking for.
