If you’ve ever sat in your life thinking, “I just know there’s something more for me,” you’re not imagining it. That nudge, that restlessness, that whisper that won’t go away—it’s a sign you’re meant for something bigger.
I’ve been there. Years ago, I was working hard in my corporate job, checking all the boxes, but secretly wondering why I didn’t feel lit up inside. It wasn’t that I didn’t care—I just hadn’t found my “thing.” That moment started me on the journey of figuring out what I loved, how I could make a difference, and eventually writing my book Your Bright Life, starting my podcast, and building the business I run today.
If you’ve ever felt like that, I want to break down four clear signs you’re meant for something more—and why you don’t need to wait another day to start. ✨

Signs You Are Meant for More 💫
1. You Can’t Forget About the Dream
Dreams that are meant for you don’t just disappear. They circle back again and again, getting louder each time. For me, it was entrepreneurship. Even when I had the steady salary and shiny title, I couldn’t shake the vision of starting my own business, traveling the world, and building something I loved. I tried to squash it down, but the dream only grew stronger until it was scarier to ignore than to leap.
If you’ve been carrying the same dream for years—whether it’s to write a book, start a podcast, or launch your own thing—know this: it’s not going away. You can do it scared today, or you can do it scared 10 years from now. The difference won’t be the amount of fear, much time you let slip by before you live the life of your dreams.
2. Staying Feels Scarier Than Moving Forward
Anaïs Nin said it best: “The day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.”
If what once felt safe and comfortable now feels suffocating, that’s a huge sign you’re meant for more. The scary thing isn’t the risk of going for your dream—it’s the risk of staying stuck in a life you’ve outgrown. Not everyone gets that nudge, but if you do, honor it. It’s pointing you toward expansion. 🦋
3. You’ve Been Through Some Stuff
Maybe you’ve disqualified yourself because life has been messy or hard. But what if that’s exactly what makes you qualified? The challenges you’ve navigated, the lessons you’ve learned, the resilience you’ve built—that’s wisdom someone else desperately needs.
I always encourage people: jot down the lessons you’re learning in your hardest seasons. Those notes might become a future podcast episode, blog post, or even your first book. (That’s exactly how my upcoming book Shine Bright was born.) Your story doesn’t disqualify you. It equips you to help someone else find the way through.
4. The Fact You’re Even Thinking About It
Here’s the truth: you wouldn’t have the dream if it wasn’t meant for you. I see other people doing dozens of things that I have zero interest in. But the dreams that tug at my heart, make me jealous, or keep coming back to me? That’s how I know those are for me.
It’s the same for you. The fact that you even think about it—let alone that you daydream, wish, or ache for it—means it’s for you. Someone else isn’t losing sleep over the idea of writing that book or launching that podcast, but maybe you are. That desire was placed in you for a reason. It’s the carrot pulling you forward into the person you’re meant to become.

If you can’t forget the dream, if staying stuck feels scarier than leaping, if you’ve been through seasons that gave you wisdom to share, and if the dream is on your heart at all—you’re meant for something bigger. Not everyone feels that pull, but you do. That means something. Don’t wait until the fear disappears. The fact that you’re dreaming about it is the only sign you need. 💛
